NFL Week 4 Betting: Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

NFL Week 4 Betting:  Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

The Monday Night Football game of the week for Week 4 features the Chicago Bears at the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears come into the game with a 2-1 record following wins over Indianapolis and St. Louis, and their week two loss to Green Bay. The Cowboys are also 2-1. Dallas beat New York and Tampa Bay, while losing on the road in Seattle during week two.

Tony Romo and the Dallas offense will be looking to get the offense going again. After scoring 24 in the opener, Dallas scored 7 at Seattle, and just 16 in the win over Tampa Bay. Romo has thrown for 841 yards and 4 touchdowns through the first three weeks. DeMarco Murray has been the anchor of the offense as the running back. Murray has ran for 213 yards and a touchdown on 50 carries this season. The Cowboys offense is averaging over 340 yards per game, while the defense is allowing 250. The Cowboys are tied with Philadelphia and New York for the lead in the NFC East.

Chicago comes into the game tied with Minnesota in the NFC North. This would be a huge win for the Bears, if they can go on the road and get it. It would keep them ahead of both Green Bay and Detroit, who they will be battling with all season. Jay Cutler has not had a great start to the season, but Chicago has been able to garner two wins. The Bears have been a good defensive team; ranking 6th in both pass defense and run defense. Chicago sees both their top running backs with injury concerns. Matt Forte is doubtful for the game, and back-up Michael Bush was listed as probable.

Dallas Cowboys -3

Free Prediction

This may end up being one of the best Monday Night Football games of the season. While it will be tough to top last week’s game between Seattle and Green Bay, this one has the chance. These two teams are talented, and have a bunch of great athletes. With these two fan bases, look for this game to get great TV ratings. In the end, we are taking the Cowboys to win by four points.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 21-17

Free Pick

This is going to be a very tight game. These two teams are both playoff contenders. It will be interesting to see how the Bears play on the road, because their first road game was a disaster. Both of these teams have quarterbacks that have a tendency to throw the ball away to the other team. A key here will be ball control. In the end, we are going to bet Dallas -3 and the under 41.5.

 Pick:  Dallas Cowboys -3

NFL Week 4 Betting: New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

NFL Week 4 Betting:  New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

In the second round of games to be played on Sunday – the Green Bay Packers will host the New Orleans Saints. The Packers come into the game with a 1-2 record; trailing Chicago and Minnesota in the NFC North. The Saints have struggled to open the season; and are 0-3. They are the lone team in the NFC to be winless through three weeks.

The Green Bay Packers had a late up until the final seconds of Monday Night’s game. The Packers allowed a game winning touchdown from Russell Wilson to Golden Tate as the clock expired. While the game was interesting, it was one Green Bay would like to have back. The game was the final NFL game called by replacement officials. While many would like to blame the replacements for the Packers loss, Green Bay did allow the Seahawks to sack Aaron Rodgers 8 times in the first half of the game. Green Bay lost their opener to San Francisco, and then beat the Bears on Thursday night in week two. The Packers have scored 57 points and allowed 54 on the season.

For New Orleans, they desperately need a win. The Saints have yet to win this season. While many say losing head coach Sean Payton would not hurt the team, their record indicates otherwise. New Orleans is having a terrible time slowing down opposing offenses. The Saints have allowed 102 points in three games, and are allowing nearly 500 yards of offense to opponents. New Orleans’ quarter Drew Brees continues to impress, as he has thrown for 900+ yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. His top target has been Jimmy Graham, with 17 catches and 3 touchdowns.

Odds and Sports Betting Line

New Orleans Saints +7.5

Green Bay Packers -7.5

Free Prediction

The offenses will love this game. Both defenses have had a tough time this season, although Green Bay did a nice job for most of Monday Night’s game. The Packers offense at home looked better against the Bears than it did in week one against San Francisco. Look for Green Bay to come away with a double digit win in this one, and moving back to 2-2 on the season.

Prediction: Green Bay Packers 31-20

Free Pick

This should be a very interesting game. There is no doubt that both of these teams have the ability to score point. The total for this game is set at 53. The Packers need to win this game and move back to .500, and we all know why New Orleans needs this game bad. An 0-4 start is not good for New Orleans. We are going to pick the Green Bay Packers -7.5 to cover this spread, and also go with the under 53.

 Pick:  Green Bay Packers -7.5

Weeden has thrown 3 touchdowns on 117 pass attemps on the season. The running back; Richardson has carried the football 50 times, for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season. The Browns in the season opener fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 17-16. In week two, Cleveland lost at Cincinnati 34-27, and then last week, Cleveland was downed by the Buffalo Bills 24-14. The Browns are averaging less than 300 yards per game offensively.

This should be an interesting game for a while; as these two divisional teams have a long history against each other. Look for the Baltimore defense to be sharp throughout the game, while Cleveland will stick around for awhile. Expect this game to be close for awhile, but then the Ravens turn it up and come away with a win. We are predicting  the Baltimore Ravens to win this game; by just under two touchdowns.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens 27-14

Free Pick

The Baltimore Ravens are a double digit favorite in this game. Baltimore is -12 in this game, and many people feel that is not enough. The Browns are going to play good football, and be prepared for the Ravens. But in the end, Baltimore will show that they have much better talent than the Browns. We are going to bet on the Baltimore Ravens -12 in this game over the Cleveland Browns.
