NFL Week 13 Betting: Oakland Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins Odds, Prediction, and Pick

Oakland Raiders

This match-up that we have here is a pretty interesting one.  While the Miami Dolphins are only 3-8 overall, they had won three games in a row before losing by one on the road against a strong Dallas Cowboys team on Thanksgiving.  The Dolphins have shown that they have no interest in throwing in the towel on the season, and this week they’ll be at home against the division-leading Oakland Raiders, who are 7-4 overall.  Many people doubted the Raiders decision to trade for disgruntled quarterback Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals, but the numbers don’t lie, and he has led this team to three wins straight right now.  The Raiders are 7-4 overall, but the 6-5 Denver Broncos aren’t letting them run away with this division, so every game is crucial right now.

The Raiders are going to need to rely heavily on that run game that has worked so well for them.  Regardless of which one is in there, their combination of Darren McFadden and Michael Bush is a scary tandem, and with the solid play of Carson Palmer as of late, the team looks poised to hold on to that lead in the AFC West.  As far as the Dolphins go, they need to keep doing what they are doing.  Matt Moore is playing very well, and the addition of Reggie Bush with the role that he’s in now with this offense is working very well.  Bush is running with a meaning, and he’ll definitely be a factor in this game.

This game kicks off at 1:00pm EST and will be played in Miami.

It’s REALLY tough to bet against a team who is leading their division and needs to keep on winning in order to hold on that divisional lead.  You can bet that this Raiders team is well aware of the Broncos right behind them, and that they are also aware of how well the Broncos are playing right now.  The Raiders are going to need to pull out this win, and they definitely have both the offensive and defensive firepower to do so.  As well as the Dolphins have been playing right now, they’re going to need to be on top of their game, and while I do think it’ll be a close one; I think that the Raiders will be too much in the end.  I’m taking the Raiders to win it by a few points when all is said and done.

Prediction:  Oakland Raiders- 21 Miami Dolphins- 17

Free Pick

It’s interesting that the Dolphins are actually favored by a full field goal.  While they have been playing well lately, the Raiders have been playing very, very well themselves also.  In my opinion, the Raiders are simply a better team overall, and I think that this will show on Sunday.  I like Bush to run wild this weekend, and in the end it won’t make much of a difference if McFadden plays or not.  I’m picking the Oakland Raiders +3, but I’ll also be putting a small bet on the Raiders straight up with the odds too.

Pick:  Oakland Raiders +3

Bonus Pick:  Oakland Raiders STRAIGHT +140

NFL Week 13 Betting: Atlanta Falcons vs. Houston Texans Odds, Prediction, and Pick

Atlanta Falcons

You HAVE to feel for this Houston Texans team.  Regardless of who your NFL team is out there, this Texans team simply cannot catch a single break.  First it was the injury to star wide out Andre Johnson, which they were able to overcome and stay atop the AFC South even with him out.  Then, came the injury to star defensive end Mario Williams, which will keep him out for the year.  As if this wasn’t tough enough, the Texans then lost starting quarterback Matt Schaub for the year, and THEN back-up quarterback Matt Leinart.  The Texans are down to their third string quarterback, but are still holding on to the divisional lead, and getting this huge home win against a strong opponent like the Falcons would go a long way.

The Atlanta Falcons on the other hand are flying pretty high right now, as they’ve won five of their last six games.  This team is 7-4 overall and has one of the most all around talented offenses in the NFL.  They are led by a young quarterback in Matt Ryan, and two strong wide outs in Roddy White and Julio Jones.  The Falcons are currently sitting one game behind New Orleans in the NFC South, and are definitely in a spot where they need to win these games not only for the division, but also for the NFC Wild Card if they are unable to catch the Saints.

This game is an interesting match-up here, and personally, I think it will be one of the best betting options of the weekend in the NFL.  We’ll watch this one kick off at 1:00pm EST and will be played in Houston.

What an interesting game this one is going to be.  If the Texans were at full strength, I think they’d be able to pull this one out at home, but they’ll struggle with their depleted roster right now.  Even the two headed monster that they have in Arian Foster and Ben Tate at running back won’t be enough in my opinion, as the Falcons offense has just been hitting on all points right now.  The Matt Ryan to Roddy White combination lacked early in the season, but it’s finally back at full strength once again.  When that happens, it spells trouble for the rest of the league, and that means more than just the Texans.  I have to stick with the Falcons to pull out the win here on the road, and I think they’ll get it done by a touchdown.

Prediction:  Atlanta Falcons- 24 Houston Texans- 17

Free Pick

I can’t believe the Texans are only +3 here!  This team has shown quite a bit of resiliency in playing through all these injuries, but against a team like the Falcons?  I just can’t see them keeping it within a field goal here, regardless of if they are on the road or at home.  The Falcons are a well-coached, and well-rounded team overall; and I think that they’ll cause problems for the Texans this weekend.  I’m picking the Atlanta Falcons to cover the -3.

Pick:  Atlanta Falcons -3

Week 12 NFL Betting: Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers Odds, Prediction, and Pick

Denver Broncos

Tim Tebow and crew are on the road in this game, and they’ll be looking to build on their three game winning streak with Tebow running the show.  The Broncos have been able to get to 5-5 overall, and are serious contenders to potentially win the AFC West, as they are only one game behind the Oakland Raiders currently.  This week though they’ll have a tough divisional match-up against the San Diego Chargers.  The Chargers have struggled a lot after starting off strong, and they have now lost five games in a row to this point.  Fortunately for them, they’ll be at home this week, but they will need to win this game in order to stay in contention to possibly win the AFC West, especially with the way that the Raiders and Broncos are playing lately.

The Broncos are of course led by Tebow and the new offense that John Fox has set up in order to make Tebow’s life easier.  He’s played incredibly well and avoided turnovers, which has really been the largest reason as to why this team is on the winning streak that they’re on right now.  On the other side of things, the Chargers up and down play has been caused by the good, then bad play by quarterback Philip Rivers.  Rivers is either throwing impressive touchdowns, or awful interceptions.  In order to win this game though, he’ll need to be on top of his game and protect the ball.  As we said, this game will be played in San Diego, and it will kick off at 4:15pm EST.

This game will be a great betting match-up for all of you NFL bettors out there, and we love this game and our pick!

Odds and Sports Betting Line

Denver Broncos: +6

San Diego Chargers: -6

You can’t look past the Tim Tebow factor here.  He has been strong since taking over the starting job this season, and even when he’s not passing the ball well; the defense, and his ability to run the ball get the job done for the Broncos.  Many people seem to overlook the fact that the Chargers just have not looked like a good team to this point either, and they can’t seem to protect the ball either.  In order for the Chargers to win this game they will need to play turnover free football and be able to stop Tebow’s ability to run the ball well.  I don’t think the Chargers have what it takes this year, and I think that the Broncos get over .500 with a win on Sunday.

Prediction:  Denver Broncos- 27 San Diego Chargers- 24

Free Pick

I’m shocked that the Chargers are THIS heavy of a favorite.  I could see them being a small favorite at home, but the Broncos have just looked much better than the Chargers since Tebow took over.  I think that the Broncos are not only going to cover the spread of +6, but that they will also get the win.  I’ll be betting on the Broncos +6, and if you want an extra bonus pick, consider hopping on the Broncos to win outright at +220!

Pick:  Denver Broncos +6
