NFL Week 13 Betting: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens Pick and Prediction

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens

Two longtime rivals from the AFC North will get together on Sunday in Baltimore. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens will play a re-match of the Week 11 game where the Ravens won. In the last game, the Steelers started with a rushing touchdown from back-up Byron Leftwich, but never again got into the end zone. Baltimore leads the division with a 9-2 record. A win in this game would pretty much luck up another divisional title. Baltimore used all 60 minutes, plus overtime to down the San Diego Chargers last week. Pittsburgh is 6-5 and tied with the Bengals for the final wildcard in the AFC. The Steelers have lost two straight games; to Baltimore and Cleveland.

Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens have continued to impress the rest of the NFL with their nearly 350 yards per game offensively. Joining Flacco in the offense is Ray Rice, with 794 yards and 7 touchdowns, along with Torrey Smith, also with 7 touchdowns. While the Ravens defense has struggled this season with injuries, they continue to win games; winning four straight games. Baltimore has outscored foes 283-219 on the season.

It appears Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will not play in this game. Big Ben did not play in the last game either. The quarterback has in replaced by Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch. Pittsburgh has been the best team against the run pass this season allowing teams to pass for just 165.7 yards per game. The Steelers have both Mike Wallace and Heath Miller that have caught six touchdown passes on the season.

Odds and Sports Betting Line

  •  Pittsburgh Steelers +6.5
  • Baltimore Ravens -6.5

Free Prediction and Pick

The Baltimore Ravens would love to win to wrap up the AFC North this early in the season. This is a big rivalry game, so expect both teams to be ready to play. In the end, the Steelers have way too many injuries to withstand all of them. Pittsburgh has a tough time scoring points, and that will continue against a hungry Ravens team. We like the Ravens to win this game.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens 24-14

The Ravens are nearly a touchdown favorite in this game over their rival. The Steelers defense will keep them in the game for quite a while, but in the end they will bend a bit. Baltimore will be able to score a few touchdowns, while the Steelers will have a tough time getting it into the end zone. We like the Baltimore Ravens to cover the spread, at home over the Steelers.

Pick: Baltimore Ravens -6.5

NFL Week 13 Betting: New York Giants @ Washington Redskins Pick and Prediction

In a battle of NFC East rivals, the New York Giants will take on the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. The Giants are the defending Super Bowl Champions. New York leads the division again, with a 7-4 record overall. Washington has won two straight games, including a Thanksgiving Day win over the Cowboys. The Redskins have moved to within two games of the Giants for the divisional lead, and just a game back of the wildcard spot in the NFC. New York, after losing two straight games blew out the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 on Sunday Night. The Giants beat the Redskins back on October 21st in New York.

The New York Giants seem to have gotten their “swag” back after the big win over the Packers last week. Many were worried heading into the bye week about their two game losing streak. The Giants quarterback Eli Manning has tossed for just shy of 3,000 yards and 15 touchdowns. Andrew Brown has been big for New York in the running game, leading the team with 8 touchdowns. The Giants’ Victor Cruz has caught 63 passes for 779 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season.

The Washington Redskins know that with a win in this game, they will not only be in business within the division, but also within the wildcard. Washington has won two in a row, and been led heavily by highly touted quarterback Robert Griffin III. The Redskins quarterback has thrown for 2,497 yards and 16 touchdowns, while rushing for an additional 642. Washington is the top rushing team in all of the NFL with 163.5 yards per game.

Odds and Sports Betting Line

  • New York Giants -2.5

This should be a really good football game. The Giants know that with a win they have a chance to really put some distance between them and the division. Tom Coughlin will have his team ready to play. Do not underestimate Mike Shanahan and the Redskins though. They will be good to go, and are coming off two big wins. In the end, we expect the more veteran group to come away with the win. We are betting the New York Giants by a field goal.

Prediction: New York Giants 27-24

The Giants come into the game as just under a field goal favorite in the game. We look for New York to score points early, and then cruise for a while, only to let Washington get back into the end. After that, the Giants defense will take over, and the quarterback – Eli Manning will guide his team down the field enough for the win. We are betting the New York Giants -2.5.

Pick: New York Giants -2.5

NFL Week 12 Betting: San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints Pick and Prediction

In one of the biggest games of the weekend, the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints will go against each other in a battle of NFC teams. The San Francisco 49ers come into the game coming off a huge win on Monday Night Football over the Chicago Bears. The 49ers lead the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West. For New Orleans, they are looking to keep their hot streak going, as they have won four out of their last five games. The Saints are in third place in the NFC South, seeking a shot at a wildcard spot.

The New Orleans Saints are led by Drew Brees behind center. Brees is putting up great career numbers, as has not skipped a beat this season. The quarterback has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 28 touchdowns. The top receivers for the Saints are Marques Colston, with 7 touchdowns and Lance Moore, with 4. The Saints have won their last three home games following an 0-2 start the Dome.

The San Franscisco 49ers went into the home game against the Bears with a little frustration. The 49ers tied with St. Louis the previous week. San Francisco is playing back-up quarterback Collin Kaepernick. The former Nevada quarterback is in for Alex Smith, who was injured in the St. Louis game with a concussion. Frank Gore, the top running back for the 49ers has rushed for 831 yards and 5 touchdowns on the season. San Francisco is playing their first of two straight road games and four of their next five.

The New Orleans Saints need a win in a bad way to stay alive in the postseason chase. For New Orleans, they would love a win to help their NFC West chances. The 49ers are the defending divisional champs. Look for the New Orleans offense to try to spread the San Francisco defense all over the field. Of course the Saints offense is what they rely on, while San Francisco is a big defensive team. We like offense to win in this one.

Prediction: New Orleans Saints 28-20

The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are actually a pick’em in this game. That is a bit surprising, but oddsmakers are taking into account where the game is at, and that San Francisco is playing with a backup quarterback. For us, it doesn’t matter, the Saints are going to win this game at home. We are betting on the New Orleans Saints pk.
