NFL Week 6 Betting: Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens

NFL Week 6 Betting: Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens

The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens will play a game on Sunday as part of Week 6 in the National Football League. The Dallas Cowboys come into the game with a 2-2 record; ½ game behind the Eagles and Giants in the NFC East. Dallas is coming off their bye week, which followed the loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. Baltimore leads the AFC North with a 4-1 record. The Ravens have won three straight games, following their week two loss to the Eagles. Baltimore is coming off an ugly win over Kansas City.

The Baltimore Ravens are hoping their offense improves from a week ago. The Ravens scored just three field goals off the Chiefs, but still came away with a win. Baltimore scored 54 in their previous two games. Ray Rice is the leading rusher for the Ravens, with 419 yards and 3 touchdowns. Baltimore’s defense has not put up the statistical numbers that they have in previous seasons, still are limiting offenses to just 16 points per game in their four wins.

The Dallas Cowboys need a better performance from their quarterback Tony Romo. In the Monday Night loss to the Bears, Romo turned the ball over five times; all interceptions. Romo has just five touchdown passes on the season for the Dallas offense. The Cowboys are the top defense this season against the pass; allowing teams to throw for 169.5 yards per game. Dallas is playing their first of two straight road games. Next week, the Cowboys will head to Carolina, to battle against the Panthers.

Baltimore Ravens -3.5

Free Prediction

This game will be closer than most folks think. The Cowboys are not going to go down easy after a week off. Dallas will bring their top game to the table in this game. The problem is – the Baltimore defense is starting to develop into their old, scary self. The Ravens are also getting some offense out of their team as well. We look for the Cowboys to keep it close, but in the end, the Ravens defense gets a couple stops when they need it. We are betting the Baltimore Ravens to win.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens 27-20

Free Pick

The Baltimore Ravens are just over a field goal favorite in this game. We think the Ravens and Cowboys will be tied through much of the game, as both teams go back and forth. In the end, the Ravens defense will pick up a touchdown, which will prove to be the difference in this game. We are going to bet the Baltimore Ravens -3.5 over the Dallas Cowboys in this game.

Pick: Baltimore Ravens -3.5

NFL Week 6 Betting: Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans

NFL Week 6 Betting: Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans will get together on Thursday evening for the National Football League game of the Week. The Pittsburgh Steelers come into the game with a 2-2 record. Pittsburgh had a big win in week five, kicking a field goal as the time expired to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. The Steelers are 1.5 games behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North. For Tennessee, they are struggling with a 1-4 record. The Titans are coming off a road loss at Minnesota on Sunday. Tennessee has been outscored by 93 points in their 5 games.

Jake Locker started the season, and then got injured and Tennessee has moved to veteran Matt Hasselbeck. Neither quarterback has been able to score enough offense to make up for a porous Titans defense. Tennessee is giving up over 420 yards of total offense on the season. The defense has been unable to stop the pass and the rush; as they rank 25th and 28th respectively. The offense for the Titans has seen their star running back Chris Johnson only pick up 210 yards, but yet to get into the end zone. The Titans are 30th in the league with 65 yards per game on the ground.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to get back to their old ways of hard-nosed defense and ball control. Pittsburgh, following their bye week came back to do just enough to beat Philadelphia last week. The Steelers have outscored opponents 93-89 on the season. Pittsburgh’s passing defense is third in the league with over 148 yards per game. The Steelers offense has seen Mike Wallace become the leader of the receiving core. Wallace has three touchdown receptions in four games thus far. Pittsburgh continues to play without Lamar Woodley and Troy Polamalu, who are both out with injuries.

Look for the Steelers to get off to a good start and take care of business in this game. If Tennessee thought they had running problems before taking on Pittsburgh, wait until this game is over. The Steelers win this game big.

NFL Week 4 Betting: Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

NFL Week 4 Betting:  Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

The Monday Night Football game of the week for Week 4 features the Chicago Bears at the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears come into the game with a 2-1 record following wins over Indianapolis and St. Louis, and their week two loss to Green Bay. The Cowboys are also 2-1. Dallas beat New York and Tampa Bay, while losing on the road in Seattle during week two.

Tony Romo and the Dallas offense will be looking to get the offense going again. After scoring 24 in the opener, Dallas scored 7 at Seattle, and just 16 in the win over Tampa Bay. Romo has thrown for 841 yards and 4 touchdowns through the first three weeks. DeMarco Murray has been the anchor of the offense as the running back. Murray has ran for 213 yards and a touchdown on 50 carries this season. The Cowboys offense is averaging over 340 yards per game, while the defense is allowing 250. The Cowboys are tied with Philadelphia and New York for the lead in the NFC East.

Chicago comes into the game tied with Minnesota in the NFC North. This would be a huge win for the Bears, if they can go on the road and get it. It would keep them ahead of both Green Bay and Detroit, who they will be battling with all season. Jay Cutler has not had a great start to the season, but Chicago has been able to garner two wins. The Bears have been a good defensive team; ranking 6th in both pass defense and run defense. Chicago sees both their top running backs with injury concerns. Matt Forte is doubtful for the game, and back-up Michael Bush was listed as probable.

Chicago Bears +3

Dallas Cowboys -3

Free Prediction

This may end up being one of the best Monday Night Football games of the season. While it will be tough to top last week’s game between Seattle and Green Bay, this one has the chance. These two teams are talented, and have a bunch of great athletes. With these two fan bases, look for this game to get great TV ratings. In the end, we are taking the Cowboys to win by four points.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 21-17

Free Pick

This is going to be a very tight game. These two teams are both playoff contenders. It will be interesting to see how the Bears play on the road, because their first road game was a disaster. Both of these teams have quarterbacks that have a tendency to throw the ball away to the other team. A key here will be ball control. In the end, we are going to bet Dallas -3 and the under 41.5.
