NFL Week 4 Betting:  New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

In the second round of games to be played on Sunday – the Green Bay Packers will host the New Orleans Saints. They are the lone team in the NFC to be winless through three weeks.

While the game was interesting, it was one Green Bay would like to have back. The game was the final NFL game called by replacement officials. While many would like to blame the replacements for the Packers loss, Green Bay did allow the Seahawks to sack Aaron Rodgers 8 times in the first half of the game. Green Bay lost their opener to San Francisco, and then beat the Bears on Thursday night in week two. The Packers have scored 57 points and allowed 54 on the season.

For New Orleans, they desperately need a win. The Saints have yet to win this season. While many say losing head coach Sean Payton would not hurt the team, their record indicates otherwise. New Orleans is having a terrible time slowing down opposing offenses. The Saints have allowed 102 points in three games, and are allowing nearly 500 yards of offense to opponents. New Orleans’ quarter Drew Brees continues to impress, as he has thrown for 900+ yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. His top target has been Jimmy Graham, with 17 catches and 3 touchdowns.

NFL Week 4 Betting: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens will get together on Thursday night for the National Football League game of the week. The Cleveland Browns come into the game as one of the two winless teams remaining in the league. The Browns are at the bottom of the AFC North. For Baltimore, they are tied with Cincinnati in the division; with a 2-1 record. These two teams will play again on November 4th in Cleveland.

The Baltimore Ravens have scored 98 points in their first three overall. Last week, the Ravens came away with a thrilling win over the New England Patriots on Sunday Night. Baltimore is the third best passing team in the league with 301 yards per game. Ray Rice has been the man for the Baltimore offense, as he has rushed for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Ravens Torrey Smith has 10 catches on the season; 2 of them for touchdowns. Baltimore’s other win came in week one over Cincinnati; and then their lone loss came in week two at Philadelphia.

The Cleveland Browns are led offensively by a pair of rookies. Brandon Weeden out of Oklahoma State is the quarterback, while Trent Richardson is the top running back. Weeden has thrown 3 touchdowns on 117 pass attemps on the season. The running back; Richardson has carried the football 50 times, for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season. The Browns in the season opener fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 17-16. In week two, Cleveland lost at Cincinnati 34-27, and then last week, Cleveland was downed by the Buffalo Bills 24-14. The Browns are averaging less than 300 yards per game offensively.

NFL Week 3 Betting: New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens

On Sunday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens will host the New England Patriots. These two teams were projected to be at the top of the AFC this season. Through two games, the Patriots and Ravens are both 1-1 on the season. New England beat Tennessee in the season opener, and then lost to Arizona at home on Sunday. The Ravens blasted the Bengals in the season opener, but fell to the Eagles on the road in week two.

Baltimore comes into the game with 67 points scored and 37 points allowed on the season. The Ravens are 9^th in passing with 261 passing yards per game, and 10^th in rushing with 16.5 yards per game. Baltimore’s defense has been vaunted for several seasons; as this season have not been as strong against the pass. Baltimore is allowing 275 yards per game. The Ravens are tied with the Bengals and the Steelers for the top spot in the AFC North.

For New England, they are struggling to score, and one of their top tight end’s Aaron Hernandez is out for the season. The Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady has thrown for just 552 yards and 3 touchdowns through two games. New England had a chance to beat the Cardinals on Sunday but missed a field goal at time was ready to expire. The Patriots are tied with Miami, New York and Buffalo for the top spot in the AFC East.
